What you get with Venturi

Venturi is the attribution layer for enterprise AI — the system of record for AI consumption. Once your cloud is connected, every AI invocation Venturi can see is traced to the team, service, identity, and budget responsible, with a calibrated confidence score on every result. From that one attribution graph, Venturi projects five customer capabilities. They share a deployment, a data model, and a confidence contract — so the same numbers reconcile everywhere.

One graph, multiple projections

Cost is the wedge; the attribution graph is what makes everything else possible. Chargeback, adoption, optimization, governance, and reporting are all views of the same graph — not separate products you stitch together.

The five capabilities

  • Cost attribution & chargeback

Attribute AI spend to the team, project, identity, and budget that owns it — with no manual tagging — and produce a confidence-scored, auditable chargeback your finance team accepts.

    Cost attribution & chargeback

  • Adoption intelligence

See which teams and functions have genuinely embedded AI into their work, and where adoption is lagging — as privacy-preserving cohorts, never as individual surveillance.

    Adoption intelligence

  • Optimization & governance

Find quality-equivalent model swaps, duplicate paths, and orphaned spend, and enforce budget and policy guardrails. Recommendations are advisory by default; Venturi never changes your systems without approval.

    Optimization & governance

  • Budgets & alerts

Set per-team and per-project budgets, get alerted at 75% / 100% / 150% of plan, and forecast next-quarter spend — delivered to email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or a signed webhook.

    Budgets & alerts

  • Reporting & exports

Build composable dashboards over governed metrics, schedule recurring reports, and emit a FOCUS v1.2 chargeback export your auditor can reproduce without Venturi.

How a capability becomes a decision

Every customer-visible result in Venturi carries the metadata you need to act on it responsibly. A number is never shown without its provenance:

Field What it tells you
Confidence (coper) Calibrated operational confidence, 0.00.95. Capped at 0.95 as a deliberate, conservative policy ceiling — Venturi never asserts certainty.
Confidence band Chargeback-ready (coper ≥ 0.80), provisional (≥ 0.50), or estimated (< 0.50).
Output state One of six honest states: deterministically resolved, strongly inferred, bounded, ambiguous, unknown, or not identifiable.
Evidence basis The evidence the attribution rests on, reachable in a couple of clicks.
Stage origin Which stage produced the result (deterministic resolution, trained inference, or allocation).
Freshness When the underlying data was last reconciled.
Degradation state Whether any input was stale, partial, or running in a fallback mode.

This contract is why a chargeback line, an optimization recommendation, and an adoption cohort all carry the same honest confidence — and why you can defend any of them to your own auditor. Read more in How Venturi works.

Confidence you can act on

Venturi separates what it knows from what it infers, and tells you which is which:

  • Chargeback-ready attributions (coper ≥ 0.80) are accurate enough to bill on. They are the only rows included in a chargeback export by default.
  • Provisional and estimated attributions are shown so you can see your full spend, but are clearly marked and excluded from billing.
  • Unknown and not-identifiable spend is surfaced as exactly that — never silently allocated or hidden — so you can investigate coverage gaps instead of discovering them in an audit.

Built on guarantees that don't change

Every capability inherits the same invariants:

The contract behind every capability

  • Fail-open on your traffic. The decision-time interceptor can never block a production AI request — it runs on a hard latency budget and forwards regardless of Venturi's health.
  • No content capture. Venturi never stores prompt or completion text. Attribution is built entirely from metadata.
  • Read-only integrations. Venturi reads cost, usage, and identity data and never writes back into your environment.
  • Honest uncertainty. Confidence is capped at 0.95, sub-0.80 attributions are excluded from chargebacks, and unknowns are labeled, not buried.

See Trust & security for how these are enforced and verified.

Where to start

  1. Connect your cloud — a read-only connector is all most customers need to begin attributing spend.
  2. Watch coverage build, then produce your first chargeback export.
  3. Layer on budgets & alerts, optimization, and adoption intelligence as your program matures.
